About Trillium Place Young Minds Center

Trillium Place Young Minds Center, located in West Peoria, Illinois, is the destination for comprehensive behavioral health care for children and adolescents.

  • This state-of-the-art center was designed to provide a welcoming and supportive care setting for ages 4 to 17.
  • From assessments to inpatient and outpatient mental health services, it’s all housed in this care location.
  • Every detail of the building was inspired by nature to create an environment where youth can find help, healing and support.

Services

Common Concerns

Care is available for concerns including, but not limited to:

  • Difficulty with stress. 
  • Depression, anxiety and other mood disorders. 
  • Behavioral concerns. 
  • Suicidal thoughts.
  • Self-harm behaviors. 
  • Trauma. 
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). 
  • Anger and stress management.  
  • Adjustment difficulties to major life changes or events.

If a child’s safety may be at risk, including concerns about suicidal thoughts or self-harm behaviors, seek immediate help by dialing 911 or going to the nearest emergency department. 

 

Inpatient Services 

Inpatient services are delivered in a safe and supportive setting at the Young Minds Center. Each child’s care plan and length of time in services is individualized to each child’s needs. Inpatient services at the Young Minds Center are a remote location of Carle Health Methodist Hospital. 



Inpatient care is focused on:
  • Setting goals and developing a care plan.
  • Stabilizing the crisis and behavioral concerns.
  • Developing problem-solving skills to manage feelings and behaviors.
  • Learning healthy daily habits.
  • Building a healthy support system.
Inpatient services include:
  • Individual and group therapy.
  • Educational and skill-building groups.
  • Psychiatry and medication-magement services.
  • Art therapy.
  • Spirituality.
  • Onsite school teachers.
  • Family involvement.

Outpatient Services 

A range of specialty outpatient services for youth are also located at Trillium Place Young Minds Center. Outpatient services at the Young Minds Center are a department of Carle Health Methodist Hospital. 



Outpatient services include:
  • Individual counseling.
  • Family therapy.
  • Psychiatry and medication-management.

Information for Parents and Guardians 

Parents and caregivers are actively involved throughout services. A parent or guardian must be present during the assessment and admission process for inpatient and outpatient services for youth.

Walk-In Assessments for Services available:
Monday - Saturday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
